A reputable organization in the oil and gas sector is looking for suitable candidates for this position. The Accounting Assistant must understand basic bookkeeping and accounting and provide strong administrative support to accountants.
Minimum qualification: Ordinary National Diploma
Experience level: entry level
Length of experience: 1 to 2 years
Petty Cash Management – Ensure all petty cash payments are made using the approved card system, verify validity of claims and record petty cash transactions for all retail outlets.
Analysis of expense reports and allocation of payments to the appropriate cost center.
Display of all transactions on the ERP software, under supervision.
Process organizational expense requests for management approval.
Manage communication with colleagues and answer questions
Responsible for monthly bank account reconciliation
Management of accounts payable and receivable
Processing of invoices and filing of documents.
Preparation of reports
OND/NCE in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant field
At least 1 year experience in a similar position
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Good sense of organization
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality
